Dear Carol and family, I had the pleasure of meeting Ernest about 12 yrs ago here at Mercy Hospital. So I only know him from this setting....but one can tell the strength, courage and kindness and integrity of some one even when they are ill. And he was top notch.

We talked about many things and our view points matched about most issues.

I know he loved life and I want to express my condolences on your loss. But we never lose what we love as it remains with us forever in our spirits.

I was always humbled by his background. He was a gentleman in all issues.

May your memories, love and his goodness sustain you for ever and ever.

One of the best decisions that Ernie made was to connect up with Carol.

I have missed ernie since he moved from our neighborhood as he liked to see things taken care of. He was fun to visit with when i would walk by the house to the maibox. He kept a niice yard too.

Sorry I didn't get to the house today.

He was a good man. He had many friends. People looked up to him. Karen and I will miss him.

So sorry for your loss. Nick was a great neighbor and I enjoyed our chats so much and always enjoyed a cup of tea with Nick & Carol too. Nick was a fun and happy guy with always a smile on his face. Nick enjoyed his flowers so much outside too and it showed. He will be missed by all. Our prayers are with you Caroi and your family.

I met Ernie when I was a resident at U of I in urology. He has been a wonderful friend and I have always enjoyed my chances to shoot the bull with him over the years. We wil all miss him greatly.

We were so sorry to hear the sad news. Ernie was a special customer and we always enjoyed having him stop in the bank. I always enjoyed chatting with Ernie, he cared so much for others and always had something going on in his life.

We would often chat about Keokuk, Iowa. Ernie would stay in Keokuk on business and I had the honors of living there for fourteen years. It was fun to share memories of this town.

I also enjoyed sharing his 80th birthday party at his new home. He was so proud of his home and enjoyed living there so much. It was a beautiful home and just perfect for Ernie and Carol.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in these difficult times. The world has lost a beautiful person, he will be greatly missed. Linda
