Clayton Ringgenberg
1924 - 2013
Condolences
A lot of great memories of you & Clayton in Des Moines, Iowa City, Chicago, and even Santa Barbara. We loved your family. Whether it was Iowa football Ot Iowa cities Clayton was very enthusiastic. We enjoyed visiting and going to the apple orchard. Of course, I remember 65 years ago and your wedding. During the last few weeks we have been thinking of you often and will continue to do so.
Our love,
Allan & Joyce
I was saddened to learn of Clayton's death. He was a class act in every way. Iowa has lost one of its best minds. He accomplished so much and was so well respected. I'm sorry for your loss and have you in my thoughts and prayers. Pat
Helen, Beth, Craig and Scott,
I was so sorry to get the news from Mom that Clayton had passed away. So many good memories of him and his delicious apple butter! I remember all of the play dates with Beth, picnics and just all around great times with all of you. You have been fortunate to have him with you for so long even though the past months have been so difficult. It was 25 years ago yesterday when my Dad passed away. I'm sure Dad and Clayton are both sitting at a table joking around or playing cards once again!
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Marianna
Dear Helen,
My thoughts and prayers are with you, and I wish yoou God speed in the healing process from your loss. Later this month, it will be twelve years since I lost my Margot, and my heart feels for you as I know the pain you are experiencing.
I would like to commend you for the decision to donate Clayt's body to the Deeded Body Program. Margot and I reached the same conclusion many years ago for such a worthy cause. As you probably know that the U of I performs a wonderful service at a later date for those who have made similar decisions.
Dear Helen,
I was sorry to learn of Clay's passing. He was a fine man, one I met at the University and got to know better because of your participation in Swedish Club. The past months have been difficult ones, I know, and you will miss him, but Clay is now in a better place.
Sincere regards,
Sharon Scheib
Helen, Beth, Craig & Scott,
Dear Helen and family, our prayers to you upon Clayton's passing. He was a kind and wonderful man who always looked on the bright side and greeted us each Sunday...he even made Deacons meetings fun! Peace and God's blessings to you all.
Dear Helen,
Your Clayton was a great friend on the golf course and a fine gentleman. I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Lou Eichler
Dear Mrs. Ringgenberg,
You don't know me, but I read your husband's obituary and noticed that you would be celebrating your 65th anniversary. I feel so bad for you as I lost my husband just before our 25th and it still hurts. Please know that I will be thinking of you with special thoughts on the 24th.
Helen and family-
I am so sorry for your loss. You took good care of him for a long time. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Helen and family,
Our sincere sympathy at this time of loss is sent your way along with big hugs and lots of love. Both you and Clayton were one of our role models while we were at St Andrew. We loved his gift of inspiring conversation, warm and welcoming smile, and his compassionate & inspirational soul. We have great memories of his leadership at church, and especially enjoyed him leading the Mere Christianity class. What a wonderful person that we were blessed to have met. Wish we could be at the service to help you celebrate his life.
