Barbara Ann Alton
1949 - 2015
Condolences
I have worked with Barb for over twenty years and through that time she became one of my favorite clients and a good friend. Many times our meetings were spent talking about her grandbabies and how she LOVED to spoil them. We spent more time talking about family and friends than we did about business. She was always a pleasure to be around and we always laughed! Todd, Elissa, Leo and family, I will miss her!! What a wonderful person, you are in our thoughts and prayers.
My sincerest condolences to the Alton Family. May the Hearer of Prayer be of comfort to you at this time. (Psalms 83:18)
Barb was in my UI campus Bible study for staff, when she was searching for Christ. It was so refreshing to enter that journey with her. Later, she attended Parkview Church. I will remember her bubbly smile and thirst to know Jesus. Your sister in Christ
My deepest thoughts go out to the family and loved ones at this time remenber.
Matt 6: 9-13
I was just looking through the ministry consultants handbook Barb developed when we served together in ministry. Her gift of administration was outstanding. Her energy was fantastic. Yay Barb. Yay God. A faithful servant and friend is home.
Todd and Family,
Though we didn't have a lot of experiences with Barb, she's the kind of person that made a lasting impression on all. She had a way of spinning things into a positive light and she was a fun, loving person to be around. She will be greatly missed.
My sincere condolences go out to the family. Barb was a dear friend to my mother for many years. She will be missed.
Todd and Elissa and your beautiful daughters. I feel like I know them from FB. Please accept my deepest sympathies.
To Leo, words are impossible right now. The grief of losing someone so dear must be unbearable. Know I am deeply sorry for your loss
Barb, I always liked you and the fun we had together. May you rest in the arms of God until we meet again.
My sincerest condolences to the Alton Family. May the God of all comfort (Psalms 83:18) help you during this difficult time.
Todd, Lissa
Words cannot explain how important Barb was in my life. She was an exceptional friend and so vibrant and full of life. We always had a great time together and we laughed and cried together many times. I will miss your mom Todd very much.
She was so proud of you and your family. I know you have many memories to share with your girls. Just remember she is now one of Gods angels and is flying all over with her new wings with that grin on her face and she is watching over you and your family. May God Bless you and your family and I will keep your family in my prayers. Rest in piece Barb. We love you!

Barb's family moved to Coralville in 1964, and she started high school with us at City High. I met her on the bus and became best friends. I complained about my third floor locker in a very crowded building, with a lockermate I didn't know. She had a single locker by the office on the first floor and invited me to share. That was the start of our friendship. We reconnected last year when Bill and I visited Iowa City for an event at the university. I am so sorry that such a vibrant person is gone. She lit up a room with her laughter.
Todd, Lissa, and family,
I am so sorry for your loss, Barb was such a fun person to be around! I was always so happy to chat with her when she visited us at work. She will be so greatly missed, please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. XOXO
