I have fond childhood memories of the Sunday afternoons and holidays at Grandma and Grandpa Breazeale's. Uncle Richard and family would almost always be there every week making the trip from Iowa City to Salem. Was it the homemade ice cream that was the draw? We had such good times with family. I'll never forget how Uncle Richard, even in later years, remembered my kids names - both first and middle name. Quite a remarkable man who will be missed.
Dear Estyl and Family,
The world is a much nicer place for knowing Richard. Jim would meet with him and come home encouraged and speak highly of what a good person his friend is.
Your relationship was to be admired. Our sympathy for your loss, we all will miss Richard.
I respected Uncle Richard's sincerity in caring and respect for all age groups and types of people without judging. I will make a point to live by his example until I die. Whenever he spoke it was comfortable and I always looked forward to seeing him next time. He truly cared for me, I felt that. Thank you Uncle Richard I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!! Thanks for being you.
Dear Mike and Betty,
I have spent many hours with Mike and heard many stories. The love of family is the most incredible part of Mike and stems from the love of amazing parents. I know that God needed someone very special for his team... he only takes the best. Peace be with you at this difficult time. Richard is walking the streets of gold that our savior has made for us. He may not be visible to us but he will be a part of your lives every day. Find peace through laughter and amazing memories. God be with you all.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Estyl and Mike. We will truly miss Dick Don used to drink coffee with Dick and the rest of the gang in the mornings at Hy-Vee, the employees called it Buzzards Row. Dick would stop by my office and sit down and we would just start talking then he would start telling me a story, he would say to me he should not bother me. I did love hearing his stories. I learned a lot from him. I can remember when the flood happened at got in the basement of Dick and Estyl's house, we help to clear things out and clean up from the water damage. That is when I first say and learned what true love was. We sat at the picnic table when day when we were working and they had lunch with us. They had their 1/2 peanut butter sandwiches and fruit. It was so cute we started joking around and Dick and Estyl were like a couple teenagers sitting across from us. I will never forget the day I first saw true love. Dick will truly be missed. Estyl please do not hesitate to call Don if you need anything at all.
All our love and prayers go out to you
Don & Deb
Mike & Family,
Sorry to hear of your Dad's passing.
Cherish the memories of the good times.
To my Aunt Estyl and Uncle Rich
Uncle Richard was a kind and gentle soul, the perpetual gentleman. He took a special interest in my teaching career, especially Shakespeare. He never missed an opportunity to discuss it. I will always remember his smile.
Richard was a real gentleman. I have known him all my life and will miss his lovely smile. I enjoyed his stories about my father and him. He remembered the day I was born, which was very special to me. He will always be in our hearts.
