Steve, Earl and Family I am so sorry to hear of your loss. MANY good memories of Elsie and my mom trying to make Dad and Earl calm down in Little League games at City Park. Make me smile to remember those days. I know the years have flown by but you guys have been on my mind recently, just this last Labor Day when we were back for the FFF at Regina. We drove thru the old neighborhood. Take care and my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
Just remember as mom told me It's NOT Good-Bye, it's See Ya Later Love you guys.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Elsie was like a second mother to me when we worked together at Hillcrest. What a dear sweet soul. She loved you all very much.
To the Barnes Family: I am with you in deepest prayer and grief in the loss of your mother, wife, grand mother and friend. She will always remain to me as one of the kindest and gentle person that I have known and associated with at The University of Iowa. My acquaintance with Elsie dates back to 1968 when she worked in the Residence Halls. What a wonder, loyal and kind person she was! Please know that my prayers are with you as you embrace her memory.
Peace,
Sending condolences to you all in the loss of a wonderful lady. We lived down the street from her for awhile on Jefferson Street several years ago. Didn't know her real well, but certainly have seen her over the years at Jessie and Ashley's athletic events. She will be missed by so many. Sending hugs to you all at this very difficult time. Thinking of you all.
Bill, Phil, Jerry and Steve..
Words are never adequate at this time. She was a great lady in lots of ways. I wonder how many hours she sat on those bleaches supporting her husband and her sons? My husband was a school mate of Elsie's when they went to country school. May peace and love surround you and comfort you in this difficult time.
Bill, Phil, Steve and all the Barnes family we are sorry for your loss. You will all be in our prayers. God Bless You All.
The pain passes, but the beauty remains. Elsie has left many beautiful reminders for everyone to remember her. She must have been a wonderful person. She loved you very much! She will be watching over all of you. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family. People are here for you Steve!! and Ashley and Jessie!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Although we did not know Elsie, we know she surely was a wonderful woman to have raised such a great family. May God wrap his warm and loving arms around you all and hold you tight while you go through the grieving process. If there is ever anything we can do please don't be afraid to call us. We love you Steve!
