Condolences
She was A Favorite Of Mine In Second Grade. A Very Gifted And Caring Educator. I Will Never Forget The Impact She Made In My Life.
My condolences to Mrs. Bohlin's family! I also had her for second grade. Why do I remember her after all these years? Because she was a teacher who cared and took the time with her students. She had a positive influence on us, one that has lasted through the years!
Mrs. Bohlin was my Second Grade teacher and I considered her to be the best. I have so many wonderful memories of her. Being in her class was a delight. I consider myself to be very fortunate to have known her. Sending thoughts and prayers to the Bohlin Family.
I was very fortunate to have Mrs. Bohlin as my second grade teacher during the 1964-65 school year. It's hard to remember much in the way of specifics 48 years later, but I do remember she had a great smile, cared for her students and encouraged us to learn and succeed. Kids birthdays were always a fun time in her class. Mrs. Bohlin was one teacher that you hoped you would run into in later life, she cared. Thanks, Mrs. Bohlin
Mrs. Bohlin is one teacher I will always remember from grade school. I was in her class in 1970 and have always remembered her. My condolences to her family.
So sorry for your loss. She was my teacher and I will never forget her. We send our sympathies to Ralph and their families.
It has been my pleasure to know Zelpha and her caring family. My deepest sympathies go out to her family.

My thoughts and prayers to the family. We will miss her!!
Sweet journey dear dear Layde! To the Bohlin family, thank you for the many years Zelpha shared your life with our children. She was a role model both for students and fellow teachers. My 4 children spent 2nd Grade with Mrs. Bohlin and each would one day in the spring come home in wide eyed awe, "Mrs. Bohlin took down her braid today! Do you know how long her hair is?" She gave our children much more than just the basic reading, writing, 'rithmatic skills. She helped us (the parents) teach manners, citizenship and what it takes to be a successful Human Being. She taught reading in a way that made our children hunger for library day, trips to the public library and reading honors! When she announced her retirement, I think there were more than a few of us CC parents who groaned and said "you can't retire, we will have grandchildren one day and you HAVE to teach them!" I am so happy that there were many years for Ralph & Zelpha to enjoy after retirement! I was blessed to be her "room mother" at least 2 years, maybe 3! She was a teacher to be emulated and a dear friend of my younger days to be remembered with joy and love. Blessings from our family to yours.
Ralph, I am so sorry to hear about your wife passing. You were surch a loving devoted husband. I have not seen you in awhile, but did enjoy visiting with you while riding home on the SEATS Bus after my accident. Take care.
Lynda
I was in Mrs. Bohlin's 2nd grade class at Coralville Central. She was one of my favorite teachers, lots of memories from her class. I also delivered her newspaper on my paper route afterschool. She will definitely be missed!
