Mabel will be missed but not forgotten. She was a wonderful lady. I had a few meals and laughs with her and others at their home in Iowa City. We also used to chat and have breakfast at Hy-Vee. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family.
My younger brothers and I frequently discuss the fun we had delivering May Day baskets to Mabel. Every May Day a smile comes to me as I remember getting chased, and the candy that was my reward for a basket delivered. Some great times!
Our sincere sympathy in the loss of such a loved one. May the emptiness a d sadness you feel be softened by all of your fond memories of Mabel.
With Love and Empathy, Tom & Lisa Caruso and family
I'd like the memory of my heroes -Beck & Bruce Christensen to be remembered. Their love, attention and caring these past 2 years especially shows what a mother' s love can accomplish. They went above and beyond the call of duty. Ron and I wish we could have done more to help. She was a great mother-in-law to me for 26 years now. 3 great children she raised, 3 grandsons, 5 great-grandkids she influenced. I miss her alot.
Christensen family I am sorry for your loss. You are all in our prayer's. God Bless You All.
Bruce, Ron and Becky, I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Mabel's death. I have many memories of all of us growing up together in West Branch and all the fun the cousins had out on the farm. As you know, memories last a lifetime and Aunt Mabel created many memories for all of us. We will all miss her.
Mabel was a true wonder. She was the perfect friend which Betty and I always cherished the farm visits.
I will echo my brother's memory as Mabel always "spoiled" all of us as children and spoiled our children as well, with wonderful meals and desserts.
We are sending our deepest sympathies to family and friends.

I have such fond memories of playing cards with Grandpa and Mabel. Mabel was always a fun and generous hostess. She will be dearly missed.
My mom was very ill, so her sister Mabel helped make my wedding more special by sewing the velvet & chiffon gowns for my bridesmaids. The girls looked beautiful in them. I will always remember her generosity. Mabel has joined the rest of her siblings, I think they must be sharing mom's birthday today!
Mabel shared her love and gifts with all of us. I especially remember the holiday feast with cards and laughter. As a kid, she showered us with chocolate and soda, then let us run wild. Her hands told her story of hard work and giving.
Our deepest sympathy for her family and friends.
One of my funniest memories was when Mabel and I were delivering oranges and grapefuit to people as a chorus fundraiser in high school, She got pulled over by the police for speeding... her wit and humor as she explained what was going on to the officer got her out of the ticket! Funny Lady.
