Bernice was so lonely for Buford and ready to join him. She would repeat this every time we visited. I knew and loved her for over 25 years She was such a sweet lady. We will all miss her. She and Buford must be having have a wonderful reunion!I4utJ

We would like to offer our thoughts and condolences related to Bernice's passing. I am fortunate enough to be a nephew of Steve & Janie & cousin to to John & Laura.

We wish to extend our deepest sympathy to the family. Bernice was such a special person. We have many fond memories visiting with her at family gatherings. We will miss her.

We had the pleasure of her company at lunch, along with our dear friends, Beth and Bob Engel, during one of our stops in Iowa City a few years ago and have enjoyed the "Garner Gossip" she sent each holiday season for 47 years since we moved east.
