Deepest sympathies to the family. I have fond memories of her welcoming smile and gentle words when I would stop by to get milk and, occasionally, spend the night with Becky. She could be everyone's mother. Thinking of you all.
We just want to send our thoughts and prayers to all of you. Dave and I have wonderful memories of Joann. I last spoke to her at State Fair, just a wonderful and caring lady! Dave remembers traveling to Columbus with Eldon to a Guernsey meeting and enjoying all the snacks Joann had packed for the trip. We hope that all your memories will bring you comfort at this time. We are sorry we will not be able to make it for the service.

I just wanted to let you know how sad I am to hear of your mom's death. I only wish I were as soft-spoken and beautiful-- inside and out. I'm sure she had her moments, especially living in a family related to the Pauluses! But we loved her, and felt loved in return. I still remember visiting the farm as a teenager-- crazy times. Don't know how she kept her sanity!
I wanted to come for the funeral, but the blizzard and cold snap prevented it (we Michiganians are wimps!). We love you all, and plan to see you-- and her-- again.

To the children of the Moss family - I am so sorry to learn of the death of your mother. She was always a warm and quiet presence.
It was a significant turning point in my young teen life to move to Bristol Drive and suddenly become part of a neighborhood "gang" that included dairy cows! Your family, especially Glenn and Gary, Susie and Laura, and Bill made some wonderful memories and I reflect with great fondness on those times. Long twilights and walks up and down Dubuque Road to see who was around. Then, standing under the streetlight, not wanting to be the first to go inside.
I will remember your family always and the times we shared as teenagers.
Please accept my sympathies and my good wishes for you and all of your families.
Love,
Darcy
Our thoughts & prayers are with the Moss family at this time. Joann was such a gentle, kind-hearted lady. She will be greatly missed. I first met her when my husband & I came to pick up the ELJO herd on July 15, 1999. The cows my in-laws purchased quickly made Oak Knob their new home. What a fantastic impact those cows have made! We have many descendants of several of those cows in the herd today. Joann & Eldon's tireless efforts to promote not only the Guernsey cow, but her wholesome product will not soon be forgotten. To say thank you doesn't seem enough.
It's so sad to hear of Aunt Joann's passing just after the holidays and seeing her at the Christmas party just a week ago.
So sorry for your loss. She was such a gentle lady and always had a smile. She will be missed. Thinking of you. Gloria and family
Rachel, My deepest sympathies to you and your family. With God's help, the pain will ease. Memories are forever.
I have many fond memories of mosses dairy. I worked the store. The milk heavy with cream. Big meals at noon at the house. Glenn playing tricks on me. The smallest baby calf shaking in a box. Blueberries as big as quarters. Mr and mrs moss giving me a beautiful necklace I still cherish for high school graduation. I hope you all cherish your many memories and know that your parents impacted many lives with their raw wonderful milk. People would tell me they traveled to get the milk from all over the state because it was the only thing that would help their hyperactive children. Better than medicines. You all are a wonderful family. My thoughts are with you.
My Great Aunt Joann always had a smile on her face no matter what was happening in her life. I will always remember the Thanksgiving dinners at her house every year. It seemed no matter how big our family got, there was always room in the Moss' home for anyone who wished to attend. I am going to miss her loving smile and her warm welcomes the most. May you rest in peace dear sweet Auntie. Please keep Grandma company until we all can meet again. Hugs and kisses....
We will always cherish having known Joanne, who was such a kind hearted and happy spirit. She was hard working and a brilliant mother raising a wonderful family. She was generous, opened her home to the wider family at Thanksgiving, and was always showing a lovely smile.
We wish the children and family lots of strength with this loss.
