Pauline's Family,
The last time we visited at her home, Pauline spent a couple of hours sharing stories with me about her family; she went through each of the pictures on her room divider. You all were the joy of her life; she loved you so very much.
Of course, she also talked about Dick Sr., still wishing that he hadn't been "so stubborn" and that he ended up having to leave too soon. I could tell how much she still missed him. I trust that they are finally together, again, and that puts a smile on my face.
I will miss our conversations about birds and wildlife; she was so observant of her surroundings. Every year when the dragonflies descend upon our place in late summer, I think about Pauline. We had a long conversation one year about the increase in numbers and wondering why it was happening. She knew so much about nature and moon signs - the best time to plant, harvest..... I soaked up as much as I could, but unfortunately, the moon signs never stuck very well and I would have to ask her over again. She never seemed to tire of me asking the same information. Pauline was always so very good to me. I will miss her.
Even though it is sad that she has moved on, it is a relief that she is finally free of pain. I wish for you sweet memories and laughter about the fun times.
