My trip to Lone Tree the summer of my 16th birthday with daddy, step-mother and my 12-year old brother - I think Jim and I developed little crushes on each other. There was a lot of showing off and teasing. I thought he was adorable. I remember going to a local baseball game with his family.. I have been a life-long baseball fan ever since. Living in California we didn't see our Iowa relatives that often - but they have always been in our hearts.
Met Jim when you folks were customers @ Bob Bell's Super Service Standard Station. Lost track when I left there, but was pleased to have you sitting in front of us @ the Fieldhouse and near us @ CHA for Iowa Wrestling meet. A good man and always treated me with more respect than necessary.
I was sadden when I saw the Jim had passed. I worked for him in the late 1970s for about 3-4 years. He was a very good boss, I considered him a friend, and he was the person that gave my my start working in the University system which I continue to this day at the University of Pittsburgh! My condolences to the family and may he rest in piece!! Thank you Jim!!

Sorry to hear of Jim's passing. We bowled in the same league for years. I remember his smile every time we walked in to check in for the City Tournament. You will all be in our prayer's. God Bless

Jim was supervisor of Central Services at the State Hygienic Laboratory throughout my 17 years there. He was a quiet and reliable foundation stone for the organization, and I have many good memories of him and his work. May God bless the family and provide the comfort only He can.
