David H. Brenneman
1923 - 2014
Condolences
Dave and I worked some Farm Progress Campground projects together. Working closely with him I got to share many thoughts with him. Kind and Gentle and Easy Going closely describes him. He was a true friend and I will miss him greatly. I hope that peace finds each and everyone in the family. Many blessings.
I'm sorry I missed visitation for Dave. I just remember your visits to camp and how much I enjoyed having you all there and getting acquainted better with you. May you feel God's peace and love as your grieve your brother. Blessings. Mary Lou Farmer
We will miss Dave and he was always a joy to talk to. He and my father Don Marner were close friends and shared a trip to the Black Hills with Dale Marner in 1942. When I saw the pictures it too me years to find out that it was not Dan!
I was so privileged to have known Dave in my seven and a half years in Iowa City. He was a kind and warm man. He did so much for his church, for the people of his church. Dave was generous and self-giving. He has earned the respect and the affection of those of us who knew him. I am so sorry to hear of his death, but I trust that the God to whom Dave was so faithful continues even now to be faithful to him. May God grant him eternal rest and peace.
We have many good memories of Dave from church activities with Dave and other friends from the church.
Mr. Brenneman was a childhood friend of my fathers, Glenwood Gingerich. I met him when we joined FBC and became friends with Sue. Many years later I met Lois while doing family research. Circles within Circles. Mr. Brenneman was a touchstone for a lot of happy memories.
So sorry to hear of your dads passing, Amy. Our prayers are with you and your family.
Amy and Family, I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. I know he meant the world to you. Sending tons of hugs and kisses your way. ~ Jen
To Dave's family - oh my what a sad day to read that Dave is no longer with us. Hubby Ray and I have such wonderful memories of Dave. He would come to our home and look for morel mushrooms each spring. He was such a gentle, kind and caring person. As the Administrative Secretary at FBC for 14 years, I saw Dave often as he always had some responsiblity on the Council. He was such a loyal and fair guy to work with full of wisdom. He has left his loving mark on me and on all who were blessed to know him. Sympathy to all of you and blessing on you as deal with the grief of his death and the blessing of his wonderful life. ---Barbara Day, Ocala, Florida
Sorry to hear about Uncle Dave. He will be missed.
I was shocked to learn of Dave's passing. I remember Dave and Betty as my father was a self employed mechanic and as a kid I would go with him to get auto parts. My parents also square danced with your parents and I believe your parents rented a home from my dad. I grew up knowing many people because of my fathers business and often wonder after I grew up where these people are today.
It is sad to learn of both your parents passing and until a friend told me about your dad I then realized I knew your parents when I was younger. My parents are also gone so I send you my thoughts and prayers in their behalf.
My sympathy to the Butterbaughs. I was so surprised to see him driving yet at Marilyns funeral. I did not know him but Betty as I was in Womans Club with her. Amy I lost my Dad when I was only 4 so you have so many memories to sustain you. My condolences.
