Condolences
I recently got to reminiscing about my college days at Lycoming College and thought about "Bill" Ford who was one of my favorite professors there. In a search to find out where he was these days, I discovered that he had passed away in the spring. I just wanted to express to his family the impact he made in my life while I was studying as an English/Education major at Lycoming and how much I loved and appreciated being able to study literature under him. He was a kind and inspiring teacher & I will always be grateful for having had the opportunity to have him as a teacher. God bless him and your family.
I got to know Bill when my family attended St. Andrew Presbyterian Church prior to moving to Solon in 2010. I thoroughly enjoyed his wisdom and sense of humor, and appreciated his ability to be both an academic and a person who was down to earth.
I eventually shared some of my corny poems for him to critique, which he graciously did, along w/ autographing one of his own poetry booklets for me. I returned the favor by giving him a Java House gift card, and he tried on a couple of occasions to
entice me into joining him when he cashed it in. But our schedules never meshed, so I guess I'll just have to take a rain check for a while until we can reconnect...

So sorry to read of Bill's illness and death. I have many good memories of days on Morningside Dr. My sympathy to all of you.
Ann:
Jennifer and I would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to you and your family during this difficult time. May the Lord place his loving hands upon you.
All of us at KCCK are saddened to hear of Bill's death. Bill's office at Kirkwood was near ours, and he often dropped by to shoot the breeze and talk about music. He was a jazz lover, and a longtime donor to KCCK. We will miss him a lot!
