Obituary of Alonzo Green

Alonzo Green Jr., 61, of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, formerly of Washington and Fairfield, Iowa passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. Alonzo had resided in Iowa since 1989. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 25th at the Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City with a time of visitation following the service. Services and burial will take place in Chicago, IL later in the week. Alonzo is survived by his siblings, Marquietta Beemon (William) of Matteson, IL, Patricia Delaney of Wheaton, IL, Juanita Green and Richard Green of North Liberty, IA and Frankie Johnson of New York, NY as well as his former wife, Vicki Green. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo and Marjorie (Watts) Green, brother, Curtis Green and sister, Yvonne Green. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting with Alonzo's local services.
