Condolences
My deepest sympathy is extended to Roger, Christine, family and Janet in this difficult time. I did not know David personally but your kind works show him as a wonderfully talented, bright and gifted individual.
Roger and Chris, I am so sorry to hear of your loss.
Chris and Roger - My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. May you find comfort in knowing that others care.
Janet - Next time I see you, I will give you a hug. I didn't know that you were seeing David, since we only see each other "professionally". I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that others care.
Sending my love and condolences to the Christian family at this most difficult time.
You will be greatly missed. Thank you for all of the good times! May peace be with you and your family.
David had a wonderful spirit and infectious energy. My thoughts are with his family and Janet.
Roger and Chris, we are so sorry to hear of your loss. We hope that you can find some peace in this difficult time.

David, You are going to be missed. I will always remember meeting you after hours at the store on a winters night. You had found someone in AUSTRALIA who needed a lens that weighed at least 15 lbs. It took some doing but the job GOT DONE!.....
I will miss David so much, I am one of the privileged few that has free access to the nerve center of UCAM The Basement! David could take some old gummed up camera and better than anyone I have ever seen clean it up and make a gem. A brilliant and sensitive man. I sure will miss our time together.
God Bless, Mike Hayslett
Thank you for sharing David's obituary. What an exceptional person. And so tragic a loss.
My memories of David are driving big wheels at a million miles an hour down the street, reenacting Dukes of Hazzard. Sarah will have to remind me if David was Rosco P Coltrane or Boss Hogg. Wherever you are, David, I hope you catch those Duke boys once and for all!
My thoughts go out to Janet and the family, I am sorry for your loss. I went to college with Dave and remember all the energy he had. He seemed larger than life! I remained in contact with him after college, and I remember talking to him when he was teaching overseas. I got such a kick out of the fact that he was working with the little kids (as we all know Dave was an intellectual by nature). I could just imagine him running around the classroom! But if anyone had the energy to keep up with them, it was him. It is a shock that he passed so young. I know that there is really nothing anyone can say during this time. But I trust that Dave was loved deeply, and he returned that in kind.
I went to college with Dave and he was one of the most charismatic, talented and interesting people I've ever had the pleasure to know. I am going to miss his positivity, his dry humor and the way every time we hung out I would learn about something new and interesting that he'd been reading about in regard to politics, philosophy or culture. Dave was a renaissance man in the best possible sense of that term.
Dave's family, friends and loved ones are in my thoughts.
We are very sorry for your loss. Please take comfort in the fact that your friends and family want to be there for you during this time of distress. Like it says at Proverbs 17:17, "A true friend is loving at all times, and is a brother who is born during times of distress." For added comfort please continue to throw your anxieties on God because He does care for you (1 Peter 5:7). May your loving memories bring you a smile during this difficult time. Your family has our sincerest condolences.
I had the pleasure of working with David at University Camera. I will miss him. We had some great discussions about writing, and older photographic equipment. He was a really neat guy. All of us are going to miss him walking his bicycle through the store upon arrival. The place won't be the same without him, that's for sure.
