I have know Fran since we were in school together. I think she was also friends with Charlotte Hull who lived in the same area. After we were adults, I always enjoyed talking to her and sharing the latest family stories. I saw her last year at Wendy's; it was then I learned of her illness. I am so sorry for your loss and for the rest of us, too. She was a kind person with a ready smile and I will miss seeing her.
Fran stepped in and acted as a mother to Karley when she was very young. For that I will be eternally grateful. Karley always has since loved going over to visit with her grandma. That bond will never be broken. This will be one of the hardest weeks on my little girl, but Karely understands that Grandma was hurting. Grandma Fran will now be her guardian angel. Karley will always remember going swimming at the hotels, especially the casino with Grandma and Grandpa. She loved hearing all of the stories that Grandma would tell her about the different places that her Grandma Fran and Grandpa Tom had traveled to. Thank you for loving my daughter so much and being a wonderful grandma. I will always be proud of all the accomplishments you have made within our Union. I brag of you to the newer members often. I promise to carry on that legacy, and fight the good fight. May you rest in peace.
So sorry to hear about Fran. I remember when she had horses when I was growing up. Loved to mess with them with her. Our condolences go out to the family. We are still in Arizona trying to get Everette's brother moved back to Iowa. Love and prayers.
A long time girl friend from our childhood days on Sand Road. Forever grateful for the friendship of such a dear person who made learning to drive in her father's field fun or riding her favorite pony around the pastures; such good childhood memories! I will never forget you Francine and Heaven is gaining another Angel~~Barbara Gooden-Jacob
Tom, I am so sorry to hear of Fran's death. I remember negotiating with her back in the late 1980's as she did a great job of representing Local 12. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
