Condolences
Dear Ken,
.....we heard the sad news today. We are also a among the heartbroken to hear that Lu is gone. Like so many others have said...... anytime you saw her you got that big smile, her cheerful laugh, a hug, and kind words. We hope in the coming days you are given many more hugs and know that we are thinking of you and sending love to you as well, The Caskeys
Dear Ken and family,
I am saddened to, just now, learn about Lou passing away. Although I did not know her nearly as well as I know you, she always remembered me when I would run into her. I could tell that she was a sweet person who loved biking, the great Outdoors, Life, and you.
Please except my sincerest condolences. I know that you will miss her dearly.
Jim (Mez) Cramer
Loved participating in the inaugural Iowa Ladies Football Academy with Lu!!! She will be missed.
My condolences..
Suzy (Angie Manes' cousin)
Ditto to all the wonderful things being said about a beautiful person. Lu lived by the words of an old girl scout song Make New Friends But Keep The Old One Is Silver And The Other Gold. One of the many reasons she had so many FRIENDS. Lu (and Ken) loved entertaining, weather it was football, bike rides (wine rides, ICCITIT ect.) X-mas parties, or Lus family Thanksgiving dinners. Her warm and welcoming smile will be missed, but I'm sure her presents will be felt. Thanks for all the good memories my friend, may your ride be smooth, flat and with a tailwind. Love ya Lu. Our thoughts are with Ken, the family and Ridly

The world has lost a kind, gentle, and genuine person...and one of the most knowledgeable and loyal Iowa fans I have been around. The tailgating gang has lost one of its founding members and it won't be the same without Lu at Old Blue. I will miss our football talks and walks to historic Kinnick Stadium (Lu...like me...refused to miss a kick off). Thoughts and prayers to Ken, the family, and the many friends Lu had who will miss her. God Bless Lu.
Ken & Family-
You are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. My deepest sympathy for your loss.

I am privileged to have known LuAnne – her radiant personality and kind heart – always sincere and genuine. We met during the era of Paper Warehouse in Iowa City. While we all went our separate ways when the store closed, over the years she and I reconnected a handful of times – I wish it had been more.
It was always a joy to see her – her perspective positive, her laughter infectious. Most recently, she reached out to me at a key time in my life when I received my diagnosis of breast cancer. Her advice was sound and encouraging – the Lu that I knew – the words that I needed to hear.
I pray for Kenny and her family. The heavens have received a wonderful soul.
Oh LuAnne! Here we are, 23 years and 2,000 miles away, having a good old fashioned cry over losing you LuAnne. You had a gracious and nearly indomitable spirit. We can only imagine how those nearer and dearer must feel.
May your family find some measure of peace, mercy and love in this time of sorrow.
Forever yours,
Jane and John Gotchall

I will always cherish our memories...going to Chicago...going to the Bulls game. Kenny driving in the snow coming from Chicago!Working at Golden Corral and the laughter and fun! SCC games and how you loved Iowa Hawkeyes and Cardinals... We had a fire you and Kenny let us rent your house...ok I could go on and on...YOU have touched me deeply. I know that you are one beautiful angel!! Praying for your family...May God wrap his arms around all of them and know you are watching them! Kenny, you are the best!!! Her family they are such loving and beautiful people too...I am truly sorry...Please take care of each other!! God Bless each and everyone of you! I have such a heavy heart but nothing like what all of you are dealing with...loss of your sister and wife!! Love you, LuAnne, you will be deeply missed!! Love you all!! Jen, I appreciate you taking time to let me know also!!!
I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your Loved one. I was only around Lu at Kyden and Madison's Birthdays. She was the one getting anything anyone wanted or needed, especially her Dad. I know this is a very hard time for all of you, but you are Blessed with a Large and amazing family that is always there for each other. There is nothing like the Love of a Family...May God put his arms around all of you and help you through your sadness and being without this Wonderful person. I Love you Jen!!!!!
Lu Anne was one of the most beautiful people I have ever known. Her strength and faith will continue to be an inspiration to me.
On the eve of Ragbrai, so so sad. Her laugh and smile will be remembered. Tailwinds Lu.
The world is going to miss such a beautiful person.
Bottom line also included sports ... now she can work her mojo to the fullest for the Hawks and Cardinals!
There are people that are the foundation of our lives…they are people that are always there for you…we assume they will always be there for us…because they are strong and they are our foundation…they always have time for you…they always have time for your stories…they will always listen to anything you have to say…they always know the important sports fact that you have forgotten…they always have a hug waiting and full candy dish at hand. LuAnne was a foundation to everyone’s life she touched…we will miss her dearly.
