Marianne enjoyed the simpler things in life. She was the one to keep the home front, raising her three children, following them in any and every venture they happened upon, this has translated onto her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she loved being grandma! She was known as the local Avon lady for years, she could sew anything that she put her mind to. Also known for her gardens and flowers as she was the recipient of many recognitions and awards in horticulture for her green thumb. She especially enjoyed showing at the state fair and more often than not returning home with more ribbons to add to her collection. Another interesting part of Marianne’s life was that she could throw horseshoes, and did this competitively, again winning trophies and awards along the way, and more than once humbling a number of men along the way! She was good with the books, and has serve on various boards and committees over the years sharing her skills. She loved her life and those around her, she will be deeply missed.
Her family includes her husband, Jerald “Jerry”; their children, Calvin Colony, Judy Rohret (Frank), and Jim Colony; grandchildren, Dan Colony (Angi), Drew Colony (Sarah), Cale Colony (Marissa), Elizabeth Colony, Jane Colony, Wyatt Colony, Kim Harris (Brock), Matt Rohret, and Mark Rohret; great grandchildren, Greyden, Shyah, Avianna, Audrey and Jett; Marianne’s step-sister, Betty Folkman; sister-in-law, Mary Murphy (Cliff) and many nieces and nephews.
