William G. "Bill" Mitchell
1932 - 2016
Condolences
Mr. Mitchell was my high school girls golf coach. He really was the first person to teach me golf and I have loved it ever since. He used to tell us if we made it in 3 putts he would buy us a Coke! LOL! He was a character and had great charm. He was a sweet man. He came to my high school graduation party and that meant a lot to me. I am sad to see him leave us but I am happy that his life was so fulfilling and he gets to be with his wife and travel the world again. He has the best seat in the house to watch the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Mark, Judy, and the rest of the Mitchell family, please accept our condolences on the loss of your Dad. We know how hard it is to lose a wonderful parent and we are thinking of you this week. Its a tough transition.

Mark and Family,
I am so sorry to see that your dad has passed. He was a wonderful man. He was my study hall teacher way back in 65-66 and he had to tell me to be quiet more than once. What a surprise to end up working with you, Mark at Walgreens and then to learn "Mr. Mitchell" was you dad. He always seemed to remember me when he came into Walgreens.
I know how very sad he was when your mother passed and I like to think that they are happily together again.
I am keeping you and your family in my prayers.
Linda (Sirdoreus) Brown
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you and your families. Mr. Mitchell was a wonderful man. He was my high school counselor and my mother's counselor. He was extremely influential in my mother’s life and made a pretty big impact on mine as well. He always knew how to encourage and help you believe in yourself. He would always visit celebrations to reassure that be believed in you. He was truly one of kind in a very large school where many students are lost, he made an individual connection with me that has lasted my lifetime, and for that I am truly thankful. I am very thankful to have known Bill and to have had him be a part of my life, even from a distance, he was a wonderful man and human being.
Sending prayers to all of Bills family and friends. I enjoyed getting to know Bill in my years at St. Marks. I remember his big hand covering mine when he came over to tell me how he was doing in his quiet way. He and Madge are together again.
