Condolences
Neola, Tad and Marc Mills have passed this on to us. Well done obituary and great to refresh our memory of such an outstanding friend. So very bright, always curious and eager to try something new.
Love
Carol and Dexter
Bob was good neighbor, good sailor, good friend and helped raise our children. What else is there ? One of a kind !
So sorry for your loss. Just wanted you to know how much I liked having him as my dentist. I think I started seeing him when I was in my early teens until he retired. I have never found a dentist that I've liked as well as him and I'm now in my early fifties.
Dr. Ashton was my dentist until I joined the air force in 1962. He pulled two of my
wisdom teeth prior to that and USAF pulled the other two. He spoke of loving mountain
climbing but I was unaware that he was still a climber so recently. He was such a
friendly man that he actually made a visit to the dentist a pleasant experience.
90 is a ripe old age, but I know that you miss him.
My wife grew up 7 air miles from Mt. Hood in Oregon. We still have the house
there, and spend half our time there. She has climbed Mt. Hood 3 times, I twice.
Larry Kading, age 76, originally from Knoxville, Iowa.
I was honored to know Bob for a short time, and have very fond memories of him. He will be missed.
What a beautful tribute to an obviously extraordinary human being. I bid you peace in his absence.
Please be encouraged

I'was so fortunate to have Bob and Neola as my neighbor across the hall. Bob always had a great sense of humor, always a smile and never a complaint. When I moved next to them in 2003 at 3100 Grand Des Moines...he convinced me to take over his job on the Grounds Committee,,, saying :" not too much to do here:...(: ha
I was a true pleasure to witness such active life. I went on a Friendship Force trip with them to Turkey,,,one of my best trips...delightful to the end..God rest his soul..I'm sure God welcomed Bob with open arms and smiles..Bob will surely keep the Heaven's moving..
