Condolences
Ricky,
I was so very sad to hear about the sudden passing of your dear father. You were an amazing student, I can only imagine the type of father he must have been for you to become the young man you are today. Even though you moved on from 9th grade science and never looked back I have often been proud of your accomplishments. There are no words to dull the pain you and your family must be feeling right now. But please know my thoughts, prayers, and condolences are with you.
Best,
Maureen Head "Miss Head"

I walked into Tony's office unannounced, without an appointment looking for help. Tony didn't ask me to come back or schedule an appointment. He sat down with me for 45 minutes and asked me a few questions. He often led with, "I'm curious" His curious questions led me to so many answers in that 45 minute span. He didn't ask for payment, he simply asked if I wanted to see him as a client. I had several meaningful sessions with Tony and he soon asked if my wife could join us. Tony helped us to keep our marriage on the road and out of the ditch. Such a gifted man with a passion to ease and eliminate a person's pain. He will be missed by so many. He did so much good for so many.
Your loss has deeply saddened us, but we know that this is far from what you are going through right now. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your family.
Tony was an amazing man, with a gift to look at someone and know their pain, not take it on but understand it and had the compassion to want to help and the resilience to keep moving forward, even when there was resistance. As he always reminded me, "I don't do Kumbaya therapy" I'm so grateful for his unconventional ways, I rarely liked them at the time but I grew from them anyway.
Tony pushed me past my fear, he gave me more than I would ever be able to repay him, not in a thousand lifetimes. Because of him I found a peace I'd never known, I'm truly happy, I have friends, my relationships with my family are healed.
He didn't just help his clients he helped their families, friends, co workers, etc. When he couldn't help someone any further he acknowledge it and sent them to someone that could.
Tony was "Goodness"
He will always be one of my Gratitude's
You are all in my prayers

I met Tony only three months ago and he has had a radical impact on the way I view my life, my family, and my marriage. He was skilled and very, very instrumental in helping me see my way in my marriage. In five precious sessions, he took us very far, in a positive direction. I've been very sad this week as I think of our loss, and the loss for the community who needs him. I can't imagine your grief, as mine is so real. I will work hard to do the work he showed me I could do in this world. Between your tears, I hope that you are very proud of the man you loved and feel blessed for the front row you had in his life. He was truly inspirational, intelligent, and so, so, caring. He was spot-on with his help for us. I will be forever grateful and will not soon forget him.
Our family extends it's sympathy to you. May you find comfort in one another and the support of friends here in the Iowa City community.

I am so saddened to hear about Tony and send my prayers to his family. I was very lucky to find him and his kindness and guidance put me in a spot I have never been in before in 57 years on this earth. His passing is a great loss.

How heartbreaking to lose such an incredible person and clinician. I always enjoyed talking with Tony and learning from him. He was so generous in sharing his clinical expertise with others in the mental health field. He was a true social worker and he always made you feel proud to be a social worker too. I will miss his brilliant kindness. Our hearts and prayers are with his family.
Jennifer, Ricky and Paul and family - my heart and my thoughts are with you all. Tony was a special guy - he had such a gentle spirit and I felt the love radiating from him every time I talked with him. Tony will be with you in the lessons he gave, the life he shared and the love he showed to all. May the beautiful memories of Tony comfort you and bring you much peace. My heartfelt sympathy to you all.
Tony was good man and a good friend to whom I owe a great deal of gratitude. Our world is a better place because of him and is poorer for his loss. To his family... you can be proud the man he was and the work he did. Please know how many of us stand with you now.
My deepest condolences to your family. I've known Tony since we were adolescents in Chicago and though we weren't in regular contact, I've always had fond feelings and memories of him. We both ended up as therapists, and it was nice to connect professionally. Tony will be missed, both personally and professionally.
Please accept my sincere sympathy as you grieve the loss of Tony. I am a colleague, who met Tony when he practiced in his Rock Island office. I practice as a fellow Licensed Independent Social Worker, and he was working with some of my current client's family members. I want you to know how much I respected his work. He no doubt left a tremendous impact on so many that he helped, and left an impact on me. The last time I spoke with him he was so kind and encouraging. May his soul rest in eternal peace. I will keep your family and those close to him in my prayers as you say goodbye, and for peace and healing.
Tony has greatly impacted my life for the better over the past year and a half. His work is not like any I have ever encountered. Through working with him I have gained a confidence and new pair of eyes through walking through this journey of life. I offer my deepest condolences to Tony's family, friends, and those he impacted through this magical work. There will never be another like Tony, and I believe his light carries in us all. I feel honored to have known him.
Tony remains an inspiration to me and others in the behavioral health field. His work was unique, one of a kind, exquisite in its application. We learned so much from him. He has helped so many clients and colleagues. His soul and spirit will never leave - we still need him around! He had a grace about him that radiated kindness and understanding. I love his laugh, the delight in his eyes, his humor and his memory for the smallest details of our lives... We had some wonderful meetings with him and I thank God for those opportunities and memories. Just wish I could have more... too soon taken from us, but he lived more than a lifetime of giving and sharing while he was with us. I will miss him so much! Hold fast dear family, you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Tony helped guide me and offered me hope that saved my life. Thanks and may God watch over, care for and bless your family at this time
