I attended the UU camp at Lake Geneva for several summers in my pre-teen and early teen years. Going was a fairly big production since mom was responsible for running the Art & T-shirt workshops. Packing all the necessary items took some time. If I remember correctly, she was also the one who would design the logo for that summer's camp, which would be on all the shirts that would get Tye-died, etc.
Part of the T-shirt workshop was that each person got to dye their shirt the way they wanted to. I remember a number of occasions where mom would be cleaning up from the days activities, and some kid or kids would come running up, arriving late because they had been down at the lake and lost track of time, and ask if they could still make their shirt. Even thought it meant being late to dinner or some other activity that she wanted to do, she would almost always unpack stuff and help them make their shirts. Wish I still had one of those shirts. I remember make several over the years.
