What I will always remember about Mort was how he lived his life to serve others. He always gave a helping hand to those who needed assistance as well as serving his community as a volunteer and former Fire Chief on the Oxford Fire Department. Kelly, our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
With deepest sympathy,
Bob and Marianne Saxton, West Des Moines, IA
Mort was a wonderful person whom was our neighbor in Oxford for 23 years. Many summer eves we talked across the alley trying to solve all the worlds problems. I tried to keep my yard and house as neat and tidy as his, but that was hard to obtain. We moved from Oxford in 2004, but continued to receive a Christmas card from him every year. We will miss that. Our condolences to Kelly and Mort's family. Rest in Peace Mort. Bob and Judee Reihman
I met Mort through his work at FS. He always treated me with kindness and consideration. I am blessed to have known him. I will keep in memory our last visit with him...he was joking and smiling just wanting to get out of that darn hospital room. Mike has always admired Mort and will greatly miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Kelly, I recognize and relate to the loss you may be feeling. We are always Daddy's baby girl. I know that you and your Dad shared a special bond and I'm praying that the memories and love of your relationship bring you some comfort during this time. My condolences and prayers are with you and the rest of the family
For Kelly:
Kelly, I am so sorry for your loss. It is never easy to lose a parent, especially when unexpected and from far away. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers in the coming difficult days. Sending hugs.... ~ ellen.
