Obituary of Diane L. Berg

Diane (Augustine) Berg, 58, passed away December 6, 2016, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from cancer. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Coralville with the Reverends Royce Phillips and Jim Aranall officiating. Burial will be at a later date. A memorial fund has been established in Diane’s memory. Diane L. Augustine was born May 16, 1958 in Neosho, MO, the daughter of Bernice and James Augustine Sr. Diane’s family moved to Coralville when she was a child, where she attended schools, and graduated from West High School in 1977. She was united in marriage to Thomas N. Berg on February 21, 1992. The couple resided in Coralville. Tom died January 31, 1999. For over 20 years Diane worked for Economy Advertising in Iowa City, and following this a number of care centers in the area. She has lived on an acreage near Homestead for many years where she loved having her dogs and cats as her children! Her family includes her mother, Bernice Augustine; brother, Jim Augustine; nieces, Kim, Anna, Elizabeth and Samantha Augustine; nephew, Michael Augustine and 10 great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, husband, and two sisters, Janet and Sherry.
