As a psychiatric nursing assistant in the 1980s and 1990s, Barb was my supervisor for many years. I've never known a kinder, more patient person. She was always the consummate
professional, and I've tried to take her lessons to heart.
Now that I teach at the junior high level, I understand, as I know Barb did, that tolerance, acceptance and compassion are the keys to making the world a better place.
Thank you, Barb. Rest in peace.
