My dear friend, Carole, I have many many memories of you and your feisty personality! We laughed together and we cried together. However your independent style never ceased to amaze me. I knew Carole for many years when she lived in a REM program. She had the amazing ability to make others laugh and she thoroughly enjoyed giving others a hard time. I loved all of the fun nicknames she would call others. I remember the first time when she said, "you old pickle" to me. For Carole, that was a term of endearment and I was glad to be included in her circle of friends! She had the great capacity to always surprise others and she didn't allow her disability to limit her! She will be forever remembered and missed!
