Janet Marre Hoffey

Condolences
Grandma Janet was the rarest of human beings. She was the purest example of God's grace and kindness. She was always at ease with herself and all those around her. How blessed we are to have been able to share even a small part of her journey. Our love and aloha to all the Hoffey and Matsuda Ohana. A donation to promote literacy will be made to the Jerry and Janet Hoffey Memorial Endowment in her memory. Aloha nui loa and a hui ho!
To the Hoffey Family,
I was saddened to hear of Janet's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Janet always had a warm smile and kind heart. She will be missed. I fondly recall her patience and kindness when I was in elementary school at Roosevelt. Janet and Jerry always made me feel welcome in the Hoffey House -- I will especially miss our visits on the front porch and the chili on football Saturdays.
Janet was my dearest friend through Jr High and High School. We shared so many school activities together! I was also a constant 'visitor' in the Palmquist house.....riding to school with Joan before we could drive, singing around the piano, playing cards after ball games. Our friendship continued through later years, though we were separated by miles. She could always sing "Loyal and True" the school song we sang as cheerleaders together, even when she couldn't elucidate her thoughts in other ways. RIP, dear friend.
I have fond memories while visiting Susie at the Hoffey house. I always felt welcome by the whole family. I still walk by the house on Melrose Ct and define it as the ‘Hoffey’s’. My thoughts are with the family and friends.
To Janet's family: I was sorry to read about Janet. She was a lovely lady and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you during his time.
Janet was so sweet. My sister's & I took a road trip to visit her while her mom was still alive & we had such a good time telling stories & eating the wonderful food she had prepared & hearing about her travels. She was a gracious host.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of Janet's family. My mom (Pat Penwell Lopp) was a Villisca friend of Janet and I have heard about many fun adventures that they shared. She was a good friend then and later in life and I know that she will be missed!
I would like to extend My Deepest Sympathy to the entire family of Janet. I am so glad to have had the chance to get to know her and care for her. Prayers and Thoughts are with you at this difficult time with Loss of A Loved One!
