Maxine looney was a very kind lady. She always made people smile laugh and cheers people up. Maxine put people first in her life and really cared for people in her family.

I was one of the international students that Maxine spent time introducing the American culture to when I first got to the U.S. She was loving, accepting, energetic and so full of love for life and God. I was thinking about her and her influence on me a lot. I am so sad for losing her and not being able to talk to her any more.

My thoughts are with Maxine's family. I was fortunate enough to be reacquainted with Maxine two years ago while having students present speeches at Windsor Manor. What a JOY it was to see her again after all of these years! The same amazing joy of life and energy ... Maxine will always hold a special place in my heart and the heart of the Upmeyer family!

My sister Linda and I will greatly miss the smiles and hugs Maxine has provided us over all the years she has been at Windsor Manor. Along with our mom, she was one of the "original" residents of Windsor Manor. Our time together sharing stories and singing will forever be remembered. She always had me sing "Sing your Way Home" alone to make sure I had the words right. Now she will sing in Heaven. The Fruit Blossoms will miss our favorite singer. Thoughts and prayers to the family of Maxine. She was a special lady.

There never was a mother like this one. I will miss her always. But how lucky I was to have had her for so long.

I am so disappointed to hear of Maxine's passing. I was thinking of her this week planning a visit soon. I enjoyed visiting with her while my in-laws stayed at Windsor Manor 3 years ago. She was full of fun and always shared her memories. She will be sadly missed. What a wonderful lady!
