Shocked to hear the news of your Dad's passing, Amy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I wish I could have been there for you during this difficult time, as you have been there for me. Stay strong and take comfort in knowing your Dad is at peace.
I was deeply moved when I saw Jeff's obituary in the paper. It brought back memories from over forty years ago when I was in a relationship with his brother, Kim. I remember Jeff, Kim, and all the Shank family with warm memories. I see in Jeff's picture the same passion for life shining out of his eyes that was finding its way when we were young. Back then we were all searching to discover what life was all about and where we fit in. I know Jeff's Light continues to shine bright in heaven and he is smiling with love as you celebrate his life. My heartfelt condolences to all his children, brothers and sisters, family and friends.
I first got to know Jeff when we went to South Dakota for an AFGE Union function. We took his van that only had AM radio and managed to survive every station available playing nothing but MC Hammer's "You Can't Touch This" for 12 hours.
Jeff was a very intelligent and outspoken person, always sticking up for his friends and what was right in general. I will miss his infectious laugh and smile. Safe Home my friend.
I was a childhood friend of Jeff's son, Cody. I did not know Jeff well, but I have distinct and fond memories of him being a kind, warm, and caring man. I am sad to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones.
Still at a loss for words. A very dear man in my family's life. From carring for babies from a hospital bed in the middle of his living room to being built in " uncle" Bodine for the rest of his life. May your family know how much you will be missed by many. Praying for the entire family.
Bodine was a special man & friend to our family. He could feel up a room with his smile and stories . I am so sorry to read this . I lost a man who always treated me like a little sister . Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss.

Jeff was always poking fun with me or someone at the VA. He always stopped to chat even for 30 seconds if our paths crossed. It's hard to imagine that he is no longer with us. May Jeff's family find peace during this difficult time.

Jeff will sure be missed around here. He was full of love for his family and especially his grandkids. They were his inspiration for having a transplant. Thoughts and prayers to the whole family.
Is so hard to find the right words to describe the big hole that Jeff left in us. I love picking on him as he picked on me. There are so many good memories when he came to clinic that is hard to think of them all, I wasn't ready for him to leave us yet but the good Lord had a better plan for him, one with no more pain, just smiles, laughter and good stories to tell. I'll miss you buddy! My deepest condolences everyone in the family.
We are very sorry for your loss. Bob and I offer our deepest sympathy to your family. Betty worked with Jeff at the VAMC in the Operating Room. He was so proud to serve the veterans and it was always a pleasure to work with him. He was always positive, happy, and serious about doing a good job. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Thoughts and prayers surround Bodine's family and friends. Knowing Jeff dates back to the days of paper id's. He gave me my first fake id :) He will be missed by all that knew and loved him. Wishing you all peace and comfort now, and in the days to follow.

Jeff became a friend and inspiration the first time I meet him at therapy. I came in a wheelchair, barely walking, he`s on a treadmill ,yapping to anyone who would listen to him. Every time I talked to him we would reminisce about the doctors and have a good laugh. It was always a pleasure Jeff will be greatly missed.
