Margaret Clemmens
2017
Condolences
My husband Bill also had Parkinson's disease, and so we met Margaret and Evan through the Parkinson's support group in eastern Iowa. Margaret kept the name tags for the group organized and brought them to meetings as along as she was able. One of the gifts we received as a result of the Parkinson's was the chance to get to know wonderful people such as Evan and Margaret.
When this came out in the newspaper, I was out of town and didn't see it until today as I looked through the old papers. Evan, I know the heartache of losing the person who has been central to your life, and I'm thinking of you and of your children as your mourn the loss of Margaret and celebrate her life. Every day, I see on my refrigerator the beautiful handmade magnet she gave me, decorated with wildflowers, and saying, "Yesterday's the Past, Tomorrow's the Future, Today's a Gift, That's why it's called The Present." Thank you, Margaret and Evan. Caryl Lyons
My deepest condolences to your family. Before my mother/Mabel Walters, moved to an assisted living facility in Cedar Rapids, Margaret and Evan were so kind to her. After my father's death, they would frequently give her rides to church and church activities. Even after they moved to Des Moines, Margaret would write my mother letters. I pray that you may find some joy in your sorrow. I am counting on Heaven being more glorious than I can imagine!
Loved the obituary!!!
God's Blessings,
Carla Walters McMillan
