We were so surprised and saddened to read about the passing of Jinny. We have many fond memories of when we all lived in Audubon Park. Blessings to all of you.
Our condolences to you Larry & your great family We were truly blessed to have met Jinny at Panera’s & have enjoyed the years of great memories & friendship.
Larry and Family--I just now received notice through the college about Jinny's passing. I am so sorry for your loss. Jinny was such a special lady--a model of compassion and sensitivity to the needs of others. She left her mark of excellence on care of patients at AMH. I know you will miss her desperately. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am very sorry to hear of Aunt Ginny's passing. She was an amazing person and led a remarkable life. Some of my happiest childhood memories were when I was able to visit the Pughs growing up, and Aunt Ginny keeping us kids entertained whether it was in Cedar Rapids, Canton or Waterloo/Cedar Falls (I forget which city). I remember her kindness and quick wit, knowing exactly what kind of mischief us kids were up to having raised 4 boys and Nancy. She ran a great home full of love, respect and humor that I always idolized growing up. I feel so lucky that I got to know her. She will be missed.
Larry and family, My thoughts and prayers are with you as you celebrate Ginny''s life. Memories of all those fun times at St Paul's cabin in Clear Lake with friends what remain in my mind. Ginny was so proud of family and I loved hearing her stories of the adventures of being Mom to all of you.
I a very sorry to learn of Jinny's death. I remember at our 50th anniversary she was like a field marshal keeping us informed, inline and on time.
She was a lovable girl who grew into a lovely lady.
My heartfelt sorrow and condolences to Larry and family. Lyle Ware
To the best friend ever. You and Paul and I go way back to the ICHS class of 1954. Will miss you so much. Janet and Paul
Ginny was like my "stand in mom." When my parents separated, the family moved to Canton partially to help me grow up with a mother figure in my life, and I am more thankful for that than I can say. The holidays had purpose, and I got a glimpse of what a healthy happy family looked like. She was also instrumental in documenting our family history Thanks for everything you did, Ginny!
We have lost a great lady and friend. You will be greatly missed.
Aunt Jinny was a kind and loving person who always made people feel welcome. She has a beautiful soul and will be greatly missed by all.
Our sincere sympathy to you, Larry, David, Tom, Paul, John and Nancy. We had 5 great years together in Newton, Iowa! Jinny was so talented and gracious. She was a delightful, thoughtful friend.
With our love and prayers,
Carol Rempe Dearinger, Todd and Anne
Tom, Michele, and Katie, Our sincere sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
May she live in your memories forever.
Sincerely,
Cathy and Mike Fountain
Oh I was so shocked to read of her passing. I am writing on behalf of the class of 54 lunch bunch. We always was so happy to see Ginny and Larry be able to make the luncheon. Larry just fit right in with us. I use to see them with a group at the Mall when I walked at Coral Ridge. They met with one group and another would come and they would move over to join them. Ginny was our organizer for our Class Reunions and said last time no more. Now someone else will have to make arrangements for that first Thursday at Midtown. She will be missed. My condolences to the family
So sorry to have heard of Jinny's passing. Her bright smiling face and personality will be missed at Panera in the morning. My condolences to Larry and the rest of the family, Katina
Oh Jinny, how the world will miss you. Just today Carol Pierce told how kind you and Larry were when she was hospitalized in Iowa City. I remember how often you took Stephanie and the boys to Panera for new-mommy outings when she needed to get out of the house and was still learning to manage twins. And Patti Bentley reminded me of how wonderful it was when you came to visit Tom's mother; Dorothy talked for days about how you looked like a walking ray of sunshine! You always knew what to say to make things better for those around you. We will miss you, Jinny. I will always be grateful for your friendship and above all, for your daughter Nancy who continues to enrich our lives every day. Rest peacefully. Love, Nancy and Tom
So sorry to hear about Jinny leaving us. We were friends in childhood, high school, and through life. My sympathy to the family. She will be missed.
Jinny was a beautiful lady with a smile on her face. Sorry for your loss. Love and prayers to all the family. Dolores
Our thoughts and prayers are with Larry and the children and grandchildren at this time of loss. Cherish and share the many memories. We have been friends every since they moved to Waterloo. Wayne and Jinny were "pew-mates" at many Allen College ceremonies and events. Jinny was artistic and we remember the many pumpkins she decorated and shared with Allen College and Allen Hospital. We will also miss getting together in Florida and going to the beaches and "Jinny & Jane's" for lunch on Anna Marie Island. Beautiful memories of a beautiful lady.
