Obituary of Linda D. Jackson

Linda D. Jackson, 63, of Iowa City, died Saturday, October 28, 2017, at her home.

Linda Diane Jackson was born January 15, 1954, in Alton, Illinois.  She married Larry J. Jackson on April 22, 1983, in East St. Louis, IL.  The couple moved to Iowa City shortly after marriage.  Linda was employed by Lear and retired after 32 years of hard work.  Linda enjoyed the simple pleasures in her life; shopping, decorating, home interior things, but most of all her family and friends!

Her family includes her three sons, Kenneth Washpun (Tara), Eric Washpun (Mikkea), and Justin Washpun; grandchildren, Tameka McCue, Isaiah Washpun, Xavier Washpun, Elianah Washpun, Eric Washpun, Zachary Washpun, Kiera Washpun, Dai’vonne Washpun, DeSean Washpun, Donyae Washpun, Iziah Paulsen, and Ariah Mueller; and 5 great-grandchildren; Linda’s siblings, Eula Davis, Earl Washpun, Troy Washpun, Lillian Williams, Lilly Perry, and Donita Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Thomas, Benjamin and Flora Washpun; husband, Larry; daughter-in-law, Chiquita Washpun; brother, Ben Washpun; and sisters, Narvatine Searles, and Willa Mae Moore.
