Condolences
We worked with Vern for many years at Moore and he was always such a nice guy. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
Dan & Family, Sorry to hear of your loss. Best wishes in this time of sadness.
We would like to extend our deepest sympathy and send love to Deb, Dan, and Jim. We have known and loved this family for many years. We cannot be there for the service tomorrow but will be thinking about all of you.
We enjoyed knowing Vern and Sondra and have many memories of times with them. He will be missed so very much by his wonderful family, especially his grandchildren.
Love to all,
Anne and DaveFK
I worked with Vern for many years at Moore and enjoyed knowing him. I am sorry for your loss.
Dan, Deborah and Jim,
Deb, Jim, Dan and families I am so sorry to hear of Vern's passing. He and Sondra were such great people and good friends of my parents (Pat and Dave Gause). I recall many garage sales at your house and every one of us truly enjoyed that time together lots of laughs, chatter, stories and we even made a couple bucks here and there. I'll never forget our moms telling (and re-telling) the story about dinner on one of those garage sale evenings which they never could get completely through without laughing uncontrollably. Anyway, I believe our dads had gone to get burgers for dinner and when they all began eating, your dad got the strangest look on his face; he then took another bite and again, another strange expression. Someone finally asked Vern what was wrong and he slowly opened up the bun where to their amazement they saw NO BURGER only condiments!!! This still makes me laugh thinking back on that story and how many chuckles they got out of it!!! I sincerely hope your folks have found my folks and are again, enjoying their time together. Sending you lots of healing hugs and hoping you find comfort in the many memories you all have, and of those memories others share with you, of your dad. Deb (Gause) Borgstahl
I am remembering both Sondra and Vern. We were friends for a long time! Sondra and I played Bridge together for years. What fun we had! Vern, Sondra, Jack and I had good times in Arizona, too. Thanks for babysitting my children, Deb. They are now ages 54, 52 and 48. It has been awhile since then! Please know that I am thinking of all of you with sorrow and love. 337

Jim, Julie & Family - our sympathies - may you find peace as you mourn the loss of your Dad/Grandpa. It looks like he was a neat guy and enjoyed his life. What else could we ask for? Will keep you in our prayers.
So sorry for your loss, such a nice man.
Nibs and Julie, I'm sorry for your loss and send along my condolences to you and your entire family. Best wishes and take the best of care.
So sorry to hear about Vern. He and Sondra were always so welcoming to his son's friends like me. It was like my second home growing up a block away. My most fond memory is Vern's carpentry skills. I know he only changed it a few times, but it seemed like every time I went over to their house he would have moved the wall in the basement family room.
