Our love and prayers go out to you and your family.
Darold is surely in a place where suffering is unknown. He has been such a great friend over the many years we have known one another. He has on more than one occasion "picked me up," physically and mentally. He will never be forgotten.
We have missed our times in Laughlin....but, guess all "good times" will not last forever. Thank you for sharing the good times with us for many years.
God Bless you and your family.

So sorry for your loss! I remember what a great Hawkeye Fan he was and enjoyed spending time with him at games. Thinking of all the family in their time of sorrow.
To Marilyn and family, my deepest sympathy. Someone else mentioned the twinkle in his eye and that’ s what I remember too, with his smile, at Lions and whenever i saw him at
Graphic Printing. He was always so kind and left wonderful memories for you, I know.
Mr. Albright was a very positive influence in the lives of many students and athletes at Monticello High School. I will never forget his smile and good sence of humor. My condolences for your loss.
God's peace and love,
Class of 67
I was so honored to get to know Darold (and Marilyn) many years ago. During my time coaching at Iowa, Darold and Marilyn were loyal friends and fans. Darold was instrumental in helping us get the softball stadium built...it simply would not have happened without his incredible effort. He was a wonderful soul. He was caring and generous in his support of others. Marilyn, Liz, and Dennis, thank you for sharing him with all of us. Darold made the Iowa City/Coralville community better because of his presence. Prayers to you and all of the family as you remember his life.
Marilyn, Dennis and Liz,
We are sending you prayers and strength as you step through this difficult time. I have so many fond memories of the Couples Group over the years. So many picnics, gatherings and celebrations where friends came together and became family!
Our thoughts are with you!

Darold was principal at Monticello High School when I taught there.
Sorry for your loss,
I worked for Darold at Graphic Printing from 1980 - 1984 - at my very first full time job. He was a gentle soul with the brightest twinkle in his eye I have ever known. He was always trying to improve the shop, take on bigger projects and new challenges which made it interesting and rewarding for us employees. I finished my undergrad while working there and always had Darold's full support - from "getting to use" the IBM selectric to type papers after hours or making PMTs (photo mechanical transfers) for my own portfolio. I will always have a special place in my heart for Darold. My deepest condolences to Marilyn, Liz and Dennis for your loss.
My deepest condolences Marilyn to you and your family. Such fond memories of our motor home trips to Iowa football games. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
I met Darold many years ago through my involvement with Iowa women's athletics. He was such a caring and compassionate man. He loved Iowa athletics and would do anything to help the teams. The renovation of the softball complex would not have happened without Darold's help. There is a new Hawkeye in heaven. Rest in peace Darold.
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this extremely difficult time. Darold was a good man and will be missed by many... Hugs, Pam
