I met Karen at City High and we were quick friends. We worked together in chemistry along with Pam Halseth and Keith Wilson. It was a fun group to be lab partners with. Karen also invited me to the Church of the Nazarene one weekend and I enjoyed a wonderful service. I always liked her smile and kindness.

Cathy and I would like to extend our condolences to Ruth, Lynn and Steve for their loss. Karen was very friendly when Cathy and I would see her in public. Cathy and I extend our thoughts and prayers to Dr. Crow and family.

Karen and I were roommates while at Wheaton Graduate School and the summer folllowing graduation. We studied hard, but also had such fun! I will always remember her bright smile, great sense of humor, and especially her love of Scripture and deep faith in Christ, her Saivior.

Karen was courageous to the end. I think she fought hard for her family whom she deeply loved.

Peace to you, my dear friend. I will see you again.

I worked with Karen at a daycare center after school. It was my first job. She was so wonderful and patient with the children. She gave me a small hand bell that was used to bring the class to attention. I still have it and think of her eveytime I see it. When my mother was ill I gave her the bell to use if she needed help. I remember thinking of Karen at that time and how kind she was . She was a source of strength and peace through that beautiful little bell.

I was on the site to send a note for Sherle Kasik and saw that Karen had passed. Graduated, class of 76 with her. Condolences to her family and friends. She always had a warm smile and was a kind person.
