Carol and I are very sorry to hear about Chuck's passing and want to extend our sincere condolences to you and your family.
Chuck and I met early February 1987 for my interview at Amana to become his new Manager of Banking and Cash. Once we shared our backgrounds and our eastern US connections, I knew that we would be a great team in the Treasury Department of Amana Refrigeration.
Those 7 plus years working for Chuck were the best of my career to date.
I lost my father at a very early age and always appreciated Mr Heyn's advice and counseling. We always referred to each other as Mr (last name).
Having returned to banking in 1995, my Commercial Business knowledge is boundless and to this day I owe Mr Heyn my deepest gratitude for my successful 24 years at US Bank (Merchants National Bank) in the Commercial Banking Department.
