Obituary of James L. Mansfield

James L. Mansfield, 90, of Iowa City, and formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  James received his Bachelors of Music from Cornell College and his Master’s and PhD from the University of Iowa. 

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth and five children. Per his request no public services are being planned.  Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation arranged with him, his request and is caring for his family and arrangements at this time.
