I just heard about my wonderful lifelong friend and neighbor. I have known her since I was a teenager,and now I am in my mid-80's. We worked together at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She was a marvelous role model for registered nurses and future nurses. She combined administrative skills with compassion, empathy and support.

I return to my beloved town and neighborhood every year from Seattle where I have lived for several decades. She will be missed by all who knew her. I loved to sit in her kitchen with her sister Mary, and "talk politics." She will be missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
