Obituary of Sally D. Francis

Sally D. Francis, 72 lifelong resident of Iowa City died Saturday, November 24, 2018.

A time for family and friends to gather to remember, share and support Sally’s life will be held from 6 to 8 pm Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service.  In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in her memory. Sally was born August 20, 1946, in Iowa City the daughter of Dean and Pearl (Schwab) Francis.  She attended Iowa City Schools, graduating from City High School.  For many years she worked for ACT.  Sally enjoyed cooking, baking, her flowers, dogs and of course the Iowa Hawkeyes!

Her family includes her daughter, Shontele Orr (Ross); grandchildren, Mollie and Charlee; 6 nieces and nephews, Kenny Alberts, Kim Villhauer (Keith), Terry Alberts (Shelly Streb-Alberts), Tamie Treiber (Mark Dull), Kelli Alberts (Trisha Hop), and Scott Alberts (Laura); great nieces and nephews, Brandi Roesler, Jake Villhauer, Rylee Villhauer, Delany Alberts, Shane Alberts, Tracy Treiber, Travis Treiber, Trevor Treiber and Skylar Hop.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 sisters, Saundra Alberts and Sharon Francis.
