Obituary of Carolyn Jean Stocker

Carolyn J. Stocker, 77 of Solon died Thursday, January 10, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City under the compassionate care of the Hospice Staff.

Carolyn Jean Breese was born June 23, 1941 in Iowa City the daughter of Lawrence and Ada (Robertson) Breese.  She attended school in Tiffin graduating from Tiffin High School.  She married Richard H. Stocker on May 22, 1969, in Iowa City.  For nearly 30 years she worked at the University of Iowa Printing Department.  She was also known to many as the Avon Lady, any occasion Cake Maker and Decorator.  She enjoyed baking, playing cards, bingo, dancing and of course fishing with Dick; but most of all she loved her family and friends!

Her family includes her husband, Richard; her brother, Robert Breese; children, Scott Breese (Kelly), Sandra Sattizahn (Roger), Russell Stocker (Tracy) and Susan Stocker; granddaughter, Nicole Breese and 8 step-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents.
