Condolences
Judy and I were in the Ms. Wheelchair America Pageant together in 1996. She is a dear and sweet person who loved her son more than anything. She was faithful in her commitment to lead the Ms. Wheelchair Iowa Pageant and help people with disabilities. I will always remember her beautiful smile.
Was so sad to learn of Judy's passing. She was a delightful person! May she be blessed with eternal rest.

I am so thankful to have Judy as a life long friend. She touched my life in so many ways. She was joyful, positive, witty, determined, grateful, passionate, smart, loving, forgiving and awesome! She left huge prints on everyone's heart and will never be forgotten. Thank you God for sharing her with us. She was a treasure and a wonderful blessing.
My Aunt Judy was a grand lady. I'll always remember her as strong, smart, positive and optimistic. Her smile will be remembered by everyone she met. Rest in peace.
Hoit Family sorry for your loss! I spoke with Judy many of times when I would give my Aunt Muriel Lehman a ride over to visit her and to pick & drop stuff off. Keep all the good memories in your hearts forever! God Bless
Judy was a special woman. I met her when she used to live near Slater Hall and would take the Bionic Bus to work everyday. She was a great advocate for accessibility as well as valued adviser. Not only did I have the pleasure of knowing her, but so did generations of CAMBUS/Bionic student drivers. We will cherish the memories.
thoughts and prayers are with her family
What an amazing woman! I would be photographing or videotaping some event in Iowa City or the surrounding area, and there she was. Always an advocate for others. Always so very positive in the midst of what most would consider a personal difficulty. She well deserved her awards and recognition. She now stands at the gate of her greatest reward. God bless her and her family. She will be missed.
Judy was an amazing leader. She helped bring the Ms. Wheelchair program to Iowa and made it a success. She mentored many Iowa women with disabilities to become more than they thought they could. And her family strongly supported her in these efforts. Thank you and it is hoped that Judy's legacy will continue in her honor.
My sincere condolences to Judy’s family and friends. Judy was such a positive, happy person with the most beautiful smile. I will miss seeing her.
Aunt Judy was an inspiration to all who knew her. You couldn't speak to her on the phone without her giggling. She never looked at her life as a challenge; she took it all in stride and did so many more amazing things than your average person. Being around her was positive. First she was my aunt and then she became my friend. Please tell Elvis hi for me!
My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this most difficult time. Judy was such a wonderful lady, so kind and caring. May your find memories of her help you through the toughest days. My sincerest condolences. Penny

RIP my dear friend, you will not be forgotten.
Love you Aunt Judy! You made everyone around you smile, such a great personality, so smart. I've known you my whole life and it's hard to hear that you have moved on. Give my mom a hug when you see her.
Judy - I will miss our late night calls and your one-of-a kind laugh. There are so many stories I have which center around you. You taught many of us to be proud of who we were, to never apologize for our needs and to advocate for everyone. We are stronger for your wisdom and teachings.
Judy was a “wheel” friend! The knowledge she shared with me, I will gladly share to further her legacy! I am a better advocate because of Judy!
Thoughts and prayers for your family. I remember how my mom and her wrote letters and were always talking on the phone.
So Sorry for your loss of Judy. I met her when She came to visit Dean at ITW PRODUX 1 day. Quite an impressive Lady. Such an Angel On Earth
I had the privilege of knowing Judi through her work as state coordinator with though Ms Wheelchair Iowa Pageant. I was her queen in 2014.
I learned so much from Judi! She was a night owl LOL and so am I… We had some of the best Conversations while everyone else was sleeping. The things she accomplished are amazing let alone fact she’s in a wheelchair. She was always willing to listen, thank goodness! I always seem to have a crisis! Lol
Condolences to her family that she loved! I hope you find Peace!
I will not be able to attend visitation due to busy work schedule.
God Bless
