Obituary of Frances D. Garrow

On May 12, 2019 after a lengthy illness Frances D. (Cook) Garrow of Crestview Specialty Care Center in West Branch, Ia. slipped peacefully into a pain free eternal rest.  Frances Darlene Cook was born April 24, 1927 in Ft. Madison, Ia the daughter of Carl F. and Helen D. (Harry) Cook.

Frances married Raymond A. Van Brocklin in Davenport, Ia, September 15, 1956.  Ray preceded her in death April 4, 1987.  Frances moved to Iowa City in 2002.  Finally moving to Crestview  Specialty Care Center in West Branch, Ia.

Frances was preceded in death by: her parents, infant sister Donna Marie Cook, sister Doris E. (Cook) Mason, Doris’ husband Robert Mason, husband Albert Garrow.

Family surviving are brothers; James E. (Cam Yacobi) Cook of Tallahassee, FL

William M. (Karla) Cook of Iowa City, IA, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, 2720 Muscatine Ave, Iowa City, IA 52240 is helping the family with arrangements previously set out by Frances.  The family will have a private family internment at a later date.
