I met Marlyn when I was an undergraduate student at the University of Iowa. We became friends and our friendship evolved as enrolled in law school and subsequently entered the profession. I would stop by and see her when my cases took me to Iowa City. I have always enjoyed her sense of humor, profound intellect, and her insight on the human condition. I enjoyed learning about her gardening efforts and teaching at the Senior Center, and she enjoyed receiving updates on my puppy, my career, and my godchildren. We exchanged delightful Christmas cards and letters. I was my privilege to know her, and I shall miss her dearly.
