Obituary of Jerold M. Tienda

Jerold Mark Tienda, age 57 of Iowa City, formerly of Chicago, IL, died Monday, July 8, 2019 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City after battling a long illness.

Jerold was born on April 16, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Enemesio and Phyllis (Zurakowski) Tienda.

On September 16, 1989 he was united in marriage to Linda C. Barone in Chicago.  The couple moved to Iowa City in 2014.

In his free time, Jerold enjoyed his pets and watching movies.

Jerold is survived by his wife, Linda of Iowa City; one son, Jonathan Tienda of Iowa City; and daughters, Samantha Tienda of Chicago, IL and Nicole Tienda of Michigan; his mother, Phyllis Tienda of Chicago, IL

He was preceded in death by his father, Enemesio.

Jerold’s body has been cremated and no formal services will be held.
