Obituary of Georgene Lou Glessner

Georgene Lou Glessner, age 68, of Tiffin, formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at her daughters home while under the care of Essence of Life Hospice.

Georgene was born on November 9, 1950, in Independence, Iowa, the daughter of George and Caroline (Nelson) Walitshek. She graduated from the Jesup High School in 1969.

On February 6, 1971, she was united in marriage to Frank J. Glessner Jr. in Jesup, Iowa, and the couple made their home in Littleton, Iowa.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, many friends and cats.

Georgene is survived by two daughters, Angie (Rob) Brandt of Tiffin, Iowa and Lisa (Mike) Dennis of Cedar Falls, Iowa; two sons, Christopher (Elizabeth) Johnson of Brooklyn, New York and Doug (Susan) Roeding of Fort Worth, Texas; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and seven siblings.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Frank and one sister, Gloria Even.     

A Celebration of Life will be held from 11-2 on Saturday, August 3, 2019, at the American Legion - 931 6th Street -  Jesup, Iowa.
