Obituary of Gary M. Brack

Gary M. Brack, 54, of rural Iowa City, died suddenly Monday, November 18, 2019.

Gary Michael Brack was born November 29, 1964, in Iowa City the son of James and Patsy (Moore) Brack.  Following graduation from Iowa City City High School in 1983 he enlisted in the United States Navy.  Returning to Iowa City he has worked for HJ Limited, Iowa City Community Schools and most recently in the Facilities Management Department at the University of Iowa.  Gary Married Julie Ann Boeckenstedt on July 13, 1991, in Ryan, Iowa.  Gary enjoyed living on the farm, spending time with family and friends and watching most any sports.

His family includes his wife, Julie; their children, Dane Boeckenstedt (Robin), Amber Boeckenstedt (Mark) and Dustin Boeckenstedt; grandchildren, Preston, Graylin, Haylee, Elizabeth and Andrew; Gary’s father, James Brack; and siblings, JoAnna Burdick (Glen) and Patrick Brack (Raun).
