My deepest sympathy on the loss of your sweet Mama. What a doll! One of the kindest ladies ever and the voice of an angel! So loved by many of us! May she be at peace with Alfred, the boys and her family up in heaven with Our Lord.

I met Delores when I was a teenager. We started going to Rural Letter Carrier conventions with her, Alfie, Joe, and Janice. My dad, Bernon Smith, and Alfie, had been friends for many years, and both served in the Korean War. Joe, Janice, And I quickly became friends, and I have lots of fond memories of the fun times we shared. She was a special, kind, sweet lady who will be dearly missed. My heat goes out to her family, and I send nothing but warm wishes and sincere hugs to all of them. Sherry Smith Whetstone
Among the memories of my Oxford family (which includes the MacAreavys, Kahlers, Millers, Kennedy, and others, 'the Sheetz, Al & Delores' are included..whether seeing them and their family at Mass, or visiting with my folks, another rubicon has been crossed. Driving from my Miller grandparents south of Oxford to the Kennedy grandparents on the north, one always passed 'the Sheetz' place..and then there is seeing Al & Delores at Heaven Scent when I visited 'the Sheetz girls' on visits home...Rest in Peace Delores...
Miss Lazio was my kindergarten teacher at Springville.Gary Tomas described our feelings perfectly “ she was a Goddess to us”.
I spent an awful lot of time sitting on the piano as punishment, however I loved the attention it gave me.
I’m sure I thought she was “prettier than a dog”.
She must have been a very special person for a 72 year old man to remember fondly his first teacher!!
Sympathies to all who loved her.

I first knew Delores as Miss Lazio my kindergarten teacher at Springville. I have fond memories of her, the way she snapped her fingers to get your attention, the way she greeted a class and always making a person feel special. She will always be special to me. My family's thoughts and prays to Delores's family, we have been bless to have known her.
What a wonderful person Delores was. She had an amazing story of her life and such an incredible family as well. Sympathies to all of you who had the pleasure of calling her mom, mother in law, grandma, teacher and acquaintance. I am not sure I have ever met a more kind person than Delores.
