I worked as a caregiver for Norma, she was so sweet and had a great heart. She taught me how to recite the alphabet backwards...This year my 5 year old taught herself the Alphabet backwards and can recite it too. I had alot of fun singing and dancing qith Norma and being silly with her. She will be greatly missed. Rest peaceful my Friend, Love Kayla Crist
So sorry to hear of Norma's death. She was a wonderful person, a great mother and a gem to society. She and Orrie were a great team and raised a super group of individuals that made the world a better place to live in. I cannot think of a finer family to represent City High School and the City of Iowa City for as long as they lived in the community. It was an honor to teach with Orrie, coach Norma and Orrie's sons and to get to know and appreciate what wonderful people Orra and Norma Rew were. Jim White Sr.
My condolences on the passing of your mother. What a great, caring woman! From the time of shared athletic events in junior high and high school to later seeing her at the golf course when I would visit with my dad, she was always a bright spirit! What a pleasure to have known her. ---Mark Hogan
I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom. I remember her so fondly as the sweetest lady. She was always so interested in talking to everyone and listening to what they had to say. I'll be thinking of you and your family during this difficult time.
I will always remember G-Norm for the tasty lemonade that she always had prepared at Fairview Golf Course and for hosting all of us on New Year’s Eve at their house. She was a loving individual that will be fondly remembered by everyone who knew her!
