Leah Lynn Kinard was born January 22, 1969 in Champaign, Illinois; daughter of J.C.Kinard and Dianna Schroder. On October 28, 1995 she was united in marriage to David D. Houg.
Leah led a life rich in love and leaves behind a legacy of happy memories for her family and many friends. She met the world with kindness and was a positive force in the lives of many.
Leah discovered her calling as a childcare provider and was honored to share in the nurturing and development of many dear children for more than 18 years. To her, this was not a job as much as an investment of a part of herself in each child. She was always thrilled to hear from past "graduates" and see how they'd matured.
While childcare brought Leah immense personal satisfaction, her family was what she cherished most. Seeing her children grow to caring adulthood was a source of great joy. Leah is survived by her husband, David; her daughter, Brieana, her son, Nicholas; her granddaughter, Leah Sienna; her mother Dianna Schroder and her sister, Amy Volesky.
She was preceded in death by her father, and sister, Minel Kinard.
She was dearly loved and will be missed by our entire community.
