Obituary of Rosetter Stowe
Rosetter Stowe was born December 16, 1940, to Essie and Ivory Smith in Ripley Tennessee. Relocating and settling in Winter Haven Florida October 6, 1975. Rosetter and Joe Stowe SR. were married merging their families.
A Gospel singer, Rosetter followed her passion of singing. She performed as a strong Alto with the Gospel Sensational Trulites and the The Tears of Joy.
Rosetter was a very loving and family oriented individual. In addition to her singing, Rose had a second love of cooking, especially for friends and family fellowshipping. She also, had a true passion and joy for playing card games with the family where she’d fight to win every quarter, nickle and dime of all participants. Let’s not forget about her love for fishing. She’d always try and come home with the bragging rights regarding who caught the biggest and most fish. She was a real competitor and winner in every way.
A true fighter, Rosetter showed her grit as she battled an illness in which she fought to the very end. Always saying, “ I’m leaving it in all in the Master’s hands”.
Sadly, on April 27, 2020, Rosetter departed this life leaving to cherish her memories (2) sons James Lewis Smith, Joe Eddie Stowe Jr. (2) daughters Brenda Coleman, Lena Oakley(1) brother James L Smith (1) sister Linda Moore(11) Grandchildren (10), Great-Grandchildren (24), Great-great-grandchildren as well as a host of Brother and Sister-in-laws, and Nephews and Nieces.
Rosetter is proceeded in death by husband Joe Stowe Sr., Parents Ivory and Essie Smith, Daughter Lois Elaine Gwynn, Brother Ira Smith Jr., Grandson Richard Coleman and Great-great-granddaughter Savannah Davis.
We thank you Mama Rose, Sister Rose, Grandma Rose and Aunt Rose for sharing all of your love and leaving an example of what unconditional love should mean. Never Forgotten!
